Dalit thrashed for not vacating chair

Bhopal: On Sunday, a Dalit youth was beaten for not vacating the chair in a salon in Madhya Pradesh village, police said.

According to the police, B. Chouhan had gone to a local salon for hairdressing. A group of upper caste came there and asked him to vacate the chair which leads to heated arguments between them.

Later, Chouhan was badly thrashed by the youths. He sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the nearby hospital.

Police registered a case against the two accused.
