Dattatraya discusses State issues with Gadkari

Hyderabad: Bandaru Dattatraya, senior BJP leader and former Union Minister, today met Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and National Highways and Water Resources, and handed over a letter on the problems pertaining to Telangana State.

During the discussion, Gadkari assured him that he will sanction Seven National Highways to the Telangana State this Fiscal Year. Dattatreya thanked him for sanctioning the amount Rs.3,030 Crores in 2017-18 for improvement of NH’s in the State and helping the Second place in the Construction of NH. He said that this credit goes to Gadkari only. During the meeting, Dattatreya brought to the notice of the Minister about the status Four Lane Highway around the Hyderabad City, which was sanctioned with Rs. 4,000 Crores, Outer Ring Road-Medak, Six Lane Aramgarh-Shamshabad Road and Four-Lane Flyover at Amberpet. The Minister gave instructions to the officials to expedite the process.

During the discussion, Dattatreya asked him to expedite the process of sanctioning the permissions to the works of Sita Rama Lift Irrigation Project as early as possible. The Minister assured him that, if possible, he will come to the state to review the ongoing projects.

Flays TDP

In a press note, Dattatreya condemned the attitude of TDP MP’s in Parliament, who are obstructing the business of LS, as they were suspended by the Speaker. “In this regard, I’m asking N. Chandra Babu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, how he justifies, where as Mr. Naidu talk about the democratic spirit in his speeches”.
