Hyderabad: BJP senior leader and former Union minister Bandaru Dattatraya on Sunday dubbed the Congress party as a sinking ship. He also said a new chapter has begun in the history of the BJP in the State.
Speaking at a public meeting at Nampally Exhibition grounds, Dattatraya alleged that the Congress party did not have proper leadership at both national and the State levels. TDP Rajya Sabha MP G Mohan Rao, who joined the BJP, said they had taken the decision to quit TDP as they were not happy with the attitude of certain TDP leaders and clarified that party’s national president Chandrababu Naidu was not responsible for their decision to leave the party. He hoped that the BJP would perform well in the upcoming GHMC elections in the State.
