Day Four witnesses tough challenge for the sailors

Hyderabad: The season in Hyderabad when gusting winds and thundering clouds marks the beginning of the day. Day four at Hyderabad Sailing Week was even more exciting.

Altogether It was very tough day for all sailors as there was no respite from strong winds. Wind was ranging from 15-17 knots and was gusting upto 20 knots. Despite of gusty wind, sailors defeated all the adversities came in their way. The lake proved true to it’s name Hussain Sagar as with the gusting winds one could easily spot waves and sea horse. In 470 class it was a tough fight between AYAZ SHAIKH/ UPKAR SINGH and PP MUTTU/ SC SINGHA covered up the lead as he got three gun position in race 10,11&12.

In LASER RDL Class is holding tight to his no1 position in10&11 race but in A SREENU race 12th take a gun in final race. Young sailors of EME Sailing Association are holding tight in laser 4.7 Class Ajay, Sanjay and Ashwini are in medal tally.

Overall it was a challenging day for sailors to sail. Sports minister of Telangana Shri Virusanolla Srinivas Goud Minister for Prohibition and excise, Sports and youth Services, Tourism and Culture and Archaeology visited the venue to see the progress of national level sailing event Happening in the state.
