‘Dead Rat’ Mid-day Meal served to students

Lucknow: Several students were rushed to hospital after the midday meal served to the students that contained a ‘dead rat’ deteriorated the health of 9 nine students.

The incident is reported from UP’s Muzaffarnagar district where a dead rat was found in meals served to government school students, Indiatoday reports.

The students Janta Inter College government school at Pachenda in Mustafabad area were served dal-rice as per Tuesday’s menu.

As soon as the students consumed the meal, they started complaining of uneasiness and all were rushed to the district hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the meals served at the school premises was supplied by an organization called the Jan Kalyan Sewa Samiti, based in Hapur.
