Dengue cases have gone up this month in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: According to the  Superintendent of Government Fever Hospital, Dr. K Shankari the cases of dengue this month have increased compared to last month. He said that there there was a slight increase in the percentage of dengue cases this month when compared to last month however all patients are stable and recovering in the hospital he added.

He said that most of the cases reported in Fever Hospitals are from simple dengue fever. “In our hospital, the patients are suffering from simple dengue fever.  However, there are cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever in other areas which leads in other areas which lead to mortality due to bleeding manifestation in the skin or fluid in the lungs and abdomen which can lead to mortality

The State Government has taken up several initiatives and they include improving lab techniques at the Fever Hospital, increased doctors count, number of pharmacy counters and blood collection counters, etc. The Superintendent at the Fever Hospital informed that the Hospital was given the reports of Elisa Dengue test within 24 hours to the patient. So far no deaths have occurred due to Dengue at the Hosptial he added. He further said that people are also coming with viral fever, cough, and cold to the hospital.
