Did Malaysia ‘award’ a plot of land to restart “Peace TV”?

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Prime Minister’s office reacted to the reports which claimed that Malaysian government has ‘awarded’ a plot of land to Islamic Preacher, Zakir Naik to restart his TV channel, “Peace TV”.

According to the report published in TOI, the PMO rejected the reports.

Commenting on rumours that the preacher was allotted a slot by State Broadcaster Radio Television Malaysia, the PMO said that it is baseless allegation.

It may be mentioned that after the bombing which took place in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, the island country has banned Peace TV.

Recently, at a rally held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Islamic Party’s Deputy President Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said that Naik should be prevented from getting deported.
