Hyderabad: A car driver was arrested by Hayathnagar police on charges of stealing money from his employer here on Friday. Rs 10.5 lakh were recovered from him.
According to sources, Shaik Sayyed, a resident of Tirumalagiri in Suryapet District, worked as a driver for P Kondaiah, a businessman in Miryalaguda.
Being with the employer for quite some time Sayyed was aware that Kondaiah is shifting 11 lakh to purchase some land and plotted to loot him. Kondaiah travelled to Hyderabad for a medical checkup and a land purchase. While he was getting his checkup done, Sayyed decamped with the cash bag from the car.
Hayathnagar police booked a case against Sayyed and arrested him.
