Earthquake hits Saudi Arabia, Iran

Riyadh: Earthquake hit the eastern region of Saudi Arabia and the Sargaz region of Iran on Wednesday.

Earthquake in Saudi Arabia

In Saudi Arabia, the earthquake was recorded at 10:27 pm local time. The magnitude of the quake was 3.9 on Richter scale.  

According to the National Center of Meteorology, no impact was felt in the UAE.

Earthquake in Iran

In Iran, the earthquake took place at 10:53 p.m. local time in the southern province of Hormozgan.

The epicenter was at 28.093 degrees north latitude and 56.866 degrees east longitude, with the focus at the depth of 21 km, reported Xinhua news agency.
