Hyderabad: Centenary celebrations of late J. Eshwari Bai were held at Ravindra Bharati yesterday. This function was organized by Eshwari Bai Memorial Trust. Chairperson of the trust, Dr. J. Geeta Reddy presided over the function.
Opposition leader of the Congress, Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, former Union, Mr. S. Jaipal Reddy, former MP of Congress, Mr. Madhu Yaski Gowd, former Minister, Mr. K. Jana Reddy, former Congress MP of Rajya Sabha, Mr. V. Hanumanth Rao, Former Chief Secretary of Karnataka, Ms. K. Ratna Prabha, IAS (Rtd), Megasassey Awardee, Prof. Shanta Sinha and others attended the function.
Mr. Kharge unveiled the statue of Ms. J. Eshwari Bai and released the calendar of the trust. Noted revolutionary poet and singer, Mr. Gaddar was felicitated on this occasion by the trust.
Mr. Kharge told that Mr. Gaddar worked day and night for Dalits and depressed classes. His contribution for Telangana Movement is laudable.
Mr. Gaddar presented his revolutionary songs and persuaded the people to fight against those who are causing danger to democracy.
