Hyderabad: Faisal Ali Shah the former Mutavalli of Hyderabad’s famous shrine Dargah Yousufain on Monday late night committed suicide by hanging self at his residence.
According to the sources, a servant at his residence found Shah hanging from ceiling upon which he alerted the local public. A team of Habeeb Nagar police have reached his residence on first floor and taken down the body.
As per the preliminary investigations, Faisal Ali Shah was under depression and this might have forced him to take extreme step.
The police have shifted the dead body to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy and further investigation is under way.
In the year 2019 Habeeb Nagar police have arrested him for obstructing police during the Urs celebrations and also for wrongfully confining a handicraft shop owner.
On the allegations of mismanagement, earlier the Telangana Wakf Board has removed him from the post of Mutavalliship of Dargah.
