Fees in Medical and Dental Colleges is likely to be increased

Telangana State Admission and Fees Regulatory Committee (TSAFRC) is getting ready to consider enhancement fees in medical and dental colleges in the state.

It may be mentioned that state Govt. had revised fees for these courses in 2016.

The management of private medical and dental colleges had requested the committee to enhance the fees taking into consideration, inflation and hike in the salaries of teachers.

Although Govt. had revised the fee structure for management and other courses, it did not consider the fee structure in medical and dental colleges.

According to a statement made by Dr. Laskman Rao, President of Telangana Private medical and dental colleges, Govt. revised the fee structure for U.G. courses but it did not do so for P.G. courses.

There are reports that the fee in these colleges will be increased to the tune of 5% to 10%.

It may be mentioned that TS has 21 private medical colleges and 11 private dental colleges.
