Fernandes died unseen, unheard, uncared & unsung: MK Faizy

Bhopal, January 30: The Social Democratic Party of India, (SDPI), has deeply condoled the death of former Defence Minister of India George Fernandes who expired after a prolonged illness.
SDPI National President Mr. M K Faizy in a statement, while condoling the death of a stalwart, lamented that it seemed an extremely sick George Fernandes was long forgotten and left uncared for by those who learned the tricks of politics from him, flourished and established themselves as successful leaders.

Faizy said over the past decade there was the complete blackout of the news about George Fernandes. Nobody knew what was happening with the former Defence Minister and NDA convenor, his health condition and the people taking care of him. After his death TV channels are showing about the life and high time of Fernandes but even they never cared to show news regarding his poor health condition. It is utterly shameful, disgusting and useless to shed crocodile tears when he bid farewell to this world unseen, unheard, uncared and unsung.

Faizy said Fernandes was a man of simple living and high thinking. He was an incredible trade union leader. Look at the way he led a three-week-long railway workers’ strike, which brought the country to a grinding halt. He had a flair for dramatics and was aware of its role to build and sustain a social movement.

He observed that Fernandes will also be remembered as one of the most fearless trade union leaders who worked tirelessly for the welfare of people. He was an epitome of simplicity in public life and a true champion of democracy.
