Former Minister Dev resigns to Congress, may join TDP

Hyderabad: Former Union Minister Kishore Chandra Dev has resigned to the Congress party giving a shocker. He is likely to join the ruling Telugu Desam in Andhra Pradesh as bifurcation led the Congress to suffer an irreparable damage. He said that there is no importance to him in the party being a senior. With close relationship with TD’s Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Kishore Dev likely to join the ruling party in the AP it is said.

Dev alleged that the nation is facing a crisis with BJP Government at the Centre which has destabilised the institutions, while there are some lapses in bifurcation act. Stating that he resigned to the congress on Saturday, he refused joining the political party that will have truck with the BJP and will reveal the party he is going to join soon.

He contested unsuccessfully from Araku Lok Sabha segment in 2014 polls and also from Patapatnam in Srikakulam district. Since the LS polls are due to held in April or May, the union minister is planning to switch loyalties.
