Gang held for stealing bio products valuing Rs 25L in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The police personnel of the Central Crime Station (CCS) and Uppal and Malkajgiri station officials under the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate arrested seven offenders who were involved in stealing bio products value Rs 25 lakh from a warehouse in Uppal on Monday.

The gang of seven have been identified as Muthukur Chandra Shekar Reddy (60), Sudigundu Murali Krishna (30), Shaik Shashavali (33), Uppara Bade Saheb (21), Vadde Ramanjaneyulu (20), Vanjari Sai (19) and Gowrishetty Bhasker (20).

The complainant Naganandi Venkata Narayana stated that he manufactures bio products and distributes them to dealers in AP and Telangana regions. On 28th October, the finished consignment of bio products was kept in tins of different weights and the same are stored in his warehouse, on 4th November he checked the stock and locked his warehouse.

Next day when Venkata came to check his warehouse he saw that the locks were broken and the manufactured bio products valuing Rs 25 lakh were stolen.

Later, a case was registered at Uppal Police station. Tip-off, the CCS team along with area police station officers arrested seven persons from Chiluka Nagar area in Uppal on Monday.

During the interrogation arrested gang confessed to the crime. The police have seized 121 boxes of bio products weighing 3770 kg and two vehicles that were used in the crime were also seized from their possession. The police said that Chandra Shekar Reddy, the prime accused, runs a pesticide shop at his native place in Andhra. From past three years, he used to purchase the bio products from Venkata Narayana’s shop in Uppal.
