Ganja smuggling racket busted-five interstate drug peddlers held seized 82 kgs of ganja

Hyderabad: The SOT of East Zone along with Meerpet police under the Rachakonda Commissionerate conducted a joint operation and nabbed fiver persons who are indulged in procuring contraband drug (Ganja) from Vizag and selling it in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The police officials have seized four travelling bags, one gunny bag containing 41 packets each packet containing 2 kgs of Ganja, total 82 KGs of Ganja, net cash Rs. 30,000/, mobile phones, seven contact numbers and Bajaj pulsar vehicle total worth Rs. 5,00,000/- (Five Lakh Rupees) at their instance.

G. Sudheer Babu, Additional Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda said, “The accused Kamoji Kondal was arrested by Meerpet police in NDPS Act case of Meerpet police station. In the month of June 2018, he was released from Jail and by using similar contacts he again started and indulged himself into the Ganja Business. Subedar Vinod Singh used to convert the Ganja into small plastic sachets 100 grams and sell the same to students in around areas of Dhoolpet and educational institutions of Hyderabad City and earn money.” Sudheer said.

The arrested accused are Phangitelli Teja from East Godavari, Kamoji Kondal from Kurnool, Subedar Vinod Singh resident of Dhoolpet, Hyderabad, Vandalam Nagarjuna from Vizag and Chadala Chinnabbai, Raju from Chitrakanta Town, Odisha State. (Absconding)
