GHMC chief, Padma Rao inspect Multi-Model Function Hall

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner M. Dana Kishore, Secunderabad Constituency MLA T.Padma Rao, along with senior officials of North Zone inspected Multi-Model Function Hall, which was under construction and various other areas this morning.

The function hall being constructed at a cost of Rs 4 crore will be completed soon and the citizens of the North Zone could utilize it, said the Commissioner. It was proposed that multi-model function halls will be constructed in all the Assembly Constituencies for benefit of poor people as per the vision of the Chief Minister. In the first phase, Rs 30.32 crore would be spent for building 16 such halls in the near future. Each function will have 3,300 sq.yds plinth with a 24,000 sft area where ground, first floor with an extent of 12,350 sft will be taken up, said the Commissioner.

MLA Padma Rao requested the Commissioner that the Chilkalguda Multi-Model Function Hall be provided with AC facility for the convenience of the citizens for which the Commissioner asked the officials to prepare an action plan to take up the issue. The Commissioner also said the function hall be completed by March this year and will be opened to the public.

The Commissioner directed the engineers to put up proposals for construction of a Model Market or Sports Complex at Namalagundu in 3000 sq.yds. The Sports Complex, which existed at Chilkalguda in 3000 sq.yds will be provided with a walking track for the benefit of the citizens. Later the Commissioner, accompanied by officials visited Madhuranagar Community hall, which was under construction. Ravi Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Ashwin Kumar, S.E. and Corporators concerned were also present.
