Hyderabad: As Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation GHMC is providing most of the basic amenities to the citizen, GHMC wants to reach further by providing Day Care Centers for Senior citizens the much needed to every Senior citizen, the Commissioner, GHMC Dana Kishore said here on Friday.
Commissioner held a meeting with the Aasara Committee and Senior Citizens, during the meeting Commissioner said that GHMC plans to provide 30 Day Care Centers for Senior Citizens and in these centers facilities like Yoga, physiotherapy, and palliative services will be available at these centers.
Since the GHMC providing felicities to the citizens of all segments the need is felt to provide Day Care Centers to the Senior Citizens, if they are fit, they can take care of their own needs as it gives them confidence, respect, better living, and better health prevails and less dependence on their family member, said the Commissioner.
A sports competition will be conducted on 14th of this month to the Senior Citizens, in 6 events like Chess, Lemon and Spoon, Shuttle Badminton, Brisk Walking etc at victory PlayGround (Chaderghat) and Sachivalaya Nagar (Hyathnagar), Commissioner further added.
