Hyderabad: Home Minister Mahamood Ali today said that Telangana Government will conduct Vinayaka Festival from Sept 2 to 12 in the city and across the state on a grand scale. Mahamood Ali informed that it was decided to offer for first time “Ganga Haarathi” at Tank Bund on behalf of the Government to kick start the Ganesh festivities. Related date will be disclosed, he said.
Talking to press persons at Secretariat along with Ministers Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Malla Reddy and Mayor B Rammohan and officials here, he said that the government will conduct the Vinakaya festival with best arrangements in place.
Mahamood Ali stated that Hyderabad will be known as the top place at national level as the festivities of Ganesha would be held on a grand note.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked the ministers and officials to coordinate for better conduct of the famous Ganesha festival in the twin cities. We will spend adequate funds for the purpose as KCR is keen to celebrate the festival with enthusiasm and gusto by people, he said. The officials were asked to make necessary arrangements for Ganesha festival which is scheduled to commence from September 2 to 12.
He said that they have earlier conducted a meeting with all political parties and concerned departments on smooth and peaceful conduct of the Ganesh festival. Mahamood Ali said that a total of 53,147 pandals are being set up for the festivities in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda police commissionerate limits.
As part of the same it was being arranged to enthrall people through cultural programs at Khairtabad Ganesh pandal, he added. Srinivas Yadav said that the chief minister is giving top priority to all religions and festivals.
