Growth prospects of real estate sector in Hyderabad look bright

Hyderabad: The growth prospects of the real estate sector in Hyderabad look promising as the city saw the highest number of launches in the second quarter of 2021 when compared to other top six cities in the country.

As per the ‘ Residential Market Viewpoints-Hyderabad Q2 2021’ report released by Anarock Property Consultants, around 8850 units were launched in the second quarter of 2021. However, the majority of the real estate activities are taking place in West Hyderabad. 94 percent of the launches in the quarter took place in this part of the city.

The majority of launches i.e., 63 percent are in the high-end segment whereas, 19 percent are in the mid-end segment.

The report also highlighted that Hyderabad’s share of sales among major cities of the country also improved. It jumped from 8 percent in the first quarter to 13 percent in the second quarter.

Around 3240 units were sold in the city in the second quarter of 2021. Out of the total sale, 68 percent were sold in West Hyderabad.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the real estate sector in Hyderabad, its growth prospect is bright.

However, the possible third wave of the pandemic is the threat to the growth of the sector in the city.

Rental values in Hyderabad

The report also gave area-wise average quoted rent per month. The highest rent was quoted in Gachibowli i.e., 17 to 27 thousand. The least was quoted in LB Nagari.e., 7.5 to 13 thousand.
