Hasan Ali, 4th Pak cricketer to marry Indian girl

NEW DELHI: Pakistan right-arm pacer Hasan Ali is set to tie the knot with Indian girl Shamia Arzoo on August 20.

Member of Pakistan’s squad in the recent World Cup, Hasan’s nikah ceremony will be held at a Dubai hotel and the rukhsati will take place in 2020, the News International reported.

However, the 25-year-old bowler in a Tweet clarify that the families just meet and nothing has been finalised. 

“Just wanna clarify my wedding is not confirmed yet, our families have yet to meet and decide upon it. will make a public announcement very soon in sha allah,” Ali wrote.

When They Met

Hasan fell in love with Arzoo during the World Cup held in the UK. Hasan first met Shamia through a close friend in Dubai.

Arzoo has a B.Tech (Aeronautical) degree from Manav Rachna University from England and lives with her parents in Dubai.

Shamia, who works for a private airline hails from Mewat, a district in the state of Haryana. 

Hasan, who has played nine Tests and 53 ODIs, played an instrumental role in Pakistan’s 2017 Champions Trophy triumph.

Hasan will become the fourth Pakistani cricketer to marry an Indian girl after former cricketers Shoaib Malik, Zaheer Abbas, and Mohsin Khan.

Shoaib married Indian tennis star Sania Mirza in 2010. The couple was blessed with a baby boy Izhaan Mirza Malik who was born on October 30, 2018.
