Heera Gold’s Nowhera served formal arrest notice in Prison

Hyderabad: Heera Gold Scam accused Nowhera Sheik currently in Chanchalguda Prison has been served formal arrest notice by the ED along with Biju Thomas and Molly Thomas.

ED has previously registered a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act against Heera gold scam accused Nowhera now with the formal arrest notice served in prison she will soon be taken in to the custody.

Chanchalaguda jail deputy superintendent D Srinivas told TOI,” ED has served arrest notice to Biju Thomas accused in Heera gold scam,” Nowhera and Molly are served notices in Chanchalaguda women prison.

Heera group of companies have collected an overall amount of Rs 5647 crores of deposits in India, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE found the investigation by Central Crime Station of Hyderabad police, TOI reports.

The other two accused in the gold scam Biju Thomas is a native of Kochi in Kerala and Molly Thomas has been identified as the manager of the company.

The three accused are currently lodged in jails in connection with CCS cheating case.

So far the CCS identified there are around 1.75 lakh depositors.

Several properties owned by Heera companies and directors in Kochi, Delhi, Hyderabad and Andhra have been identified and soon shall be confiscated under the depositors act.

CCS probe identified Hotel Marrios at Kochi which was purchased by Nowhera Shaikh for Rs 60 crore.

Besides ED, Serious Fraud Investigation Office is also probing into the Heera Gold case.
