Henley Passport Index releases report: India slips two places

New Delhi: Henley Passport Index which ranks passports of various nations based on the number of countries their holders can visit without a prior visa.

Japan topped the list as the holders of Japanese passport can visit 191 destinations without obtaining a prior visa. The country is holding the top spot for the past three years.

Singapore grabbed the second spot on the list whereas, South Korea and Germany is holding third place.

Indian Passport

In 2020, the Indian passport slipped two places. It managed to grab 84th place in the list as Indian can get visa-free entry to 58 countries.

Pakistani Passport

The Pakistani passport has been ranked as the fourth worst. The index placed Pakistan on the 104th position.

Last year, the Pakistani passport had been ranked as the fifth-worst passport to hold. This year it slipped further in the rankings. The Pakistani passport only ranks better than the passports of three other countries: Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Pakistani passport holders still enjoy visa-free access to 32 countries.
