Himayatnagar canine’s best friend: Suzy Abraham

HYDERABAD: Suzy Abraham, a 65-year-old retired LIC employee who popularly known as the ‘dog-lady. She used to take care of over 100 stray dogs’ single-handedly every day.

According to the report published in Times of India, Suzy Abraham used to feed the stray dogs every day. She makes sure that every one of them is sterilized, dewormed and vaccinated.

She said, “I look after these dogs because they need our help. I feel bad when I see them wandering on the streets for food. There are over 100 dogs and I feed them rice, milk and chicken every day.”

Every morning when Suzy starts her day walking from one street to another to feed and nurse these dogs, they all walk around.

One of a resident of Himayathnagar said, “We used to fear these dogs earlier. But after seeing this lady and the love she gets from these dogs, I also used to feed hungry dog whenever I found near my office or colony.

Suzy said, “The government should do something for these voiceless animals.”
In few months where the city has seen several cases of the cruelty to stray dogs, Suzy is a bright example to everyone to help the voiceless and helpless creatures.
