For how long we will be giving proof of our nationalism? Maulana Madani

Varanasi: A seminar was organised in memory of Muhaddith Maulana Habibur Rahman Azmi on Sunday, at Jeet Palace near Ashapur. The seminar was organised by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind. A large number of Muslims and religious scholars attended the seminar.

Chief Guest general secretary Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind Maulana Mahmood Madani said 70 years have passed since India got independence, still, proof of our nationalism is sought. During the past 70 years, we have spent most of the time giving clarifications. We are ready to sacrifice our life for the welfare and development of the country but for how long we will be giving proof of nationalism? he asked.

Maulana said Muslims have not come from any foreign country, we have played a significant role in the freedom of the country. Some people formed a nation in the name of Islam but we chose to remain in India.

Maulana Madani condemned the arrest of 2 people from Deoband and said Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind is striving to release innocent persons. He claimed that 80 pc of the Muslim youth who were imprisoned have been proved innocent and acquitted.

On the occasion, Maulana Madani also condemned the Pulwama attack.
