Husband and wife to lock horns in Penamaluru, Andhra Pradesh

Hyderabad: Politics has divided even close family members. In one such incident, the husband filed nomination on YSR Congress party ticket while his wife is in the fray as an independent candidate. Both are contesting against each other.

Ex-minister K Parthasarathy filed nominations on YSR Congress party ticket while his wife Kamala filed nomination as an independent.

After the last date to withdraw the nomination, the returning officer informed that both the husband and wife are in the fray from the constituency. Parthasarathy’s election symbol is fan, while his wife’s symbol is belt. Their son had also filed nomination, however, his nomination was rejected. 13 candidates are in the fray from the Penamaluru assembly constituency including sitting MLA B Prasad.
