Gurgaon: A 44-year-old husband was arrested for allegedly forcing his wife to frame false charges of molestation against Gurgaon Court judge in a bid to extort money from him, sources said.
Acting on her husband’s orders, a woman on Tuesday approached the police to file a complaint against a district and sessions judge alleging molestation at the hands of the judge when she went to record her statement in a gangrape case filed on June 29.
When the complainant was interrogated, she broke down and confessed the charges leveled were false said Superintendent of Police Shakuntala.
The complainant’s husband had forced her to file a false case against the judge to extort money, the SP said.
She said she met her husband in 2016 while she was working at a private hospital in Nuh in Haryana who claimed to be a doctor and married in 2017.
The husband later started torturing her, forcing her to change her religion. He even forced her to have unnatural sex the police said. He also forced the woman to file a similar false case in 2018 too.
“Police have arrested Khan for extortion, unnatural sex, fabrication of evidence and criminal intimidation,” the SP said.
