Hyderabad: 3 held for burglary, gold ornaments, cash recovered

Hyderabad:  The sleuths of the Jawaharnagar and Malkajgiri police stations, both within the limits of the Rachakonda Commissionerate, apprehended three burglars for theft of Rs. 4.5 lakhs worth of valuable items including gold, silver, and cash.

The police have recovered 5.4 grams of gold ornaments, 1.63 KGs of silver ornaments, one motorcycle, two laptops, one photo camera, one Wi-Fi modem, one mobile phone with a headset, US currency worth in INR 4,240, and Rs. 10,000 cash — all worth Rs. 4, 68,140 — from their possession.

The gang of three has been identified as Sangala Srikanth (22) a resident of Jawaharnagar, Mohammed Abdul Asif resident of Kapra, and Sangala Sai Kumar (20), also a resident of Jawaharnagar.

Srikanth was expected to mend his ways after being released from prison in September 2018. Yet subsequently he committed as many as seven house burglaries in the jurisdiction of Jawaharnagar police station of Rachakonda.

Srikanth recruited Asif and Sai Kumar into his plans and they planned to commit such offences in various areas. The three used to break into houses both during the night and day.
