A 46-year-old neighbour has sexually harassed a 7-year-old minor on Sunday night in Chatrinaka.
The accused has been identified as Mateen Khan who is an autorickshaw driver and the victim’s neighbour, as per the police.
On the pretext of offering her chocolate, the 46-year-old lured the girl and started misbehaving with her on Sunday night.
The Chatrinaka police inspector, Vidyasagar Reddy stated that the girl’s relatives noticed the incident and raised an alarm.
He asserted that “Upon hearing her family approaching, Mateen fled. Based on a complaint, we have booked cases under relevant Sections of IPC and PoCSO Act.”
