Hyderabad: An assistant sub-inspector belonging to Banjara Hills police station died of coronavirus in Hyderabad.
Prem Kumar was undergoing treatment at Apollo hospitals. He was suffering from breathlessness. Initially he was tested negative for the virus.
Later on Monday, the ASI got COVID-19 tests done and tested positive. He was put on ventilator support and succumbed to the virus on Thursday.
After working in different departments with the City Police, Prem Kumar was posted at Banjara Hills three years ago.
