Hyderabad: The Good Samaritan city Traffic police today helped transport a live Heart by providing non-stop movement of the ambulance carrying the organ from Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad. The distance between the hospital and Shamshabad airport is 35 km and the ambulance reached its destination in 30 minutes.
It may be mentioned here that the Hyderabad Traffic Police have arranged a Green Channel for transportation of Live Organ.
The medical team carrying live organ (Heart) left at 1233 hrs from Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad and reached Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 1303 hrs. The hospital authorities applauded the efforts of the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police in the transportation of live organ (Heart) in half-an-hour.
