Hyderabad: Depressed over result 2 Intermediate students commit suicide

Hyderabad: Failing to pass the Intermediate examination, two students committed suicide as soon as the results were declared yesterday.

In the first incident, a 16-year-old student Anarika a student of Government Junior College committed suicide in Gandhi Nagar area after she failed in more than one subject, TOI reports.

“Depressed over her result, she hung herself at around 6.30pm when her parents were not at home,” said the Gandhi Nagar inspector Sreenivasa Rao.

In yet as similar second incident, a 17-year-old G Nagender, a student of Narayana College, ECIL branch committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence under Kushaiguda police station limits after he failed in one of the Maths subjects.

His mother found him hanging from the ceiling of the house. Though rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead. No suicide note was found.

Police registered a case under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC.
