Hyderabad: A court sentenced a man to life imprisonment for sexually exploiting his 14-year-old daughter. He had committed this crime at his residence located at Chaderghat in November 2016.
According to the report published in Telangana Today, the accused had also threatened her by saying that he would kill her mother and younger brother.
Later, the mother had approached the police and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused.
On Tuesday, a child-friendly court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 2000. As the accused had threatened the girl, the court has sentenced him to two year rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 1000.
It may be mentioned that both the punishments will run concurrently. For the compensation to be awarded to the girl, the matter has been referred to District Legal Service Authority.
