Hyderabad: Furnishing information to cops costs heavy for woman

Hyderabad: Police encourages citizens to furnish information about any suspected/unclaimed article found at public places so that it may not cause any damage to people but in one case, a woman had to pay for its price.

According to the details, a policeman attached to Dabeerpura Police Station threatened her of imposing a fine of Rs. 10 lakh and imprisonment for her children.

It is reported that the woman found an unclaimed bag near her house which she reported to the police.

Later, the policeman attached to Dabeerpura Police Station came to her house and abused her for furnishing false information. He also threatened that a fine of Rs. 10 lakh would be imposed and her children will be sent to jail. Police should pay attention to such irregularities of its staff.
