Hyderabad: TikTok, Chinese social media video app likely to established a full-fledged office in Hyderabad. This plan was revealed on Saturday.
According to the report published in Telangana Today, representatives of TikTok told that the company is planning to setup office in Hyderabad keeping in view of the increasing number of the app users in the country.
TikTok reached 1.5 billion downloads worldwide
It may be mentioned that TikTok has reached 1.5 billion downloads worldwide on the App Store as well as Google Play and India leads the chart with 466.8 million or about 31 per cent of all unique installs.
Earlier, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and other tech giants have setup their offices in Hyderabad.

In 2012, Zhang Yiming had founded ByteDance, a Beijing-based company. In 2017, the app was launched by ByteDance. It was launched for users outside China.
The company had earlier launched Douyin for users in China.
Although, TikTok and Douyin are the same, they run on different servers to comply with Chinese censorship restrictions.
