Hyderabad: Anxious moments prevailed at MGBS (Mahatma Gandhi bus stop) on Monday morning after a youth climbed up a pole in an attempt to commit suicide. It took the cops about 30 minutes to talk him into getting down, sources said.
Vikram Reddy, a 23-year-old native of Vikarabad, is an RTC contractor who had given his bus on hire to the Tandur bus depot. “He wanted to resolve an issue with the authorities and needed a NOC.
When authorities delayed giving it, he tried to kill himself and climbed up a pole at MGBS,” said Afzalgunj police inspector Gyanendra Reddy. He climbed down after the police assured him that the required document will be provided.
Vikram Reddy was taken to the police station but no case was booked against him.
