Hyderabad: Man rapes 21-year-old girl on pretext of marriage, lands in jail

Hyderabad: Special Court for Crimes against Women, LB Nagar sentenced a man to 10 years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 60000 for raping a 21-year-old girl.

According to the report of Meerpet Police, Jahangir Pasha who is a teacher established physical relationship with the girl.

In July 2011, he married another girl. When his beloved sought clarification from him, the man told that he does not love his wife. He also promised her that he would marry her.

After making false promise, he continued physical relationship with his beloved. When she became pregnant in 2012, the man asked her to abort pregnancy. However, his beloved rejected his demand. Later, she delivered a male child.

Vexed with the cheating attitude of the man, his beloved lodged a complaint with the police.

Meerpet Police took action on her complaint and got the DNA test done of the newly born child which established that Jahangir is the father of the boy.

Police filed a chargesheet in the court after arresting him. The magistrate sent him to jail for 10 years and imposed a fine of Rs. 60000.
