Hyderabad Metro Rail services were hit due to heavy rain on Wednesday, causing inconvenience to the passengers. Due to heavy rains passenger rush increased
exponentially, as people preferred metro tail to own vehicles and buses.
But late in the evening, metro trains were
delayed. Several metro stations witnessed heavy crowds, as delayed trips, kept commuters waiting. Especially commuters in LB Nagar to Ameerpet to Miyapur route faced problems.
“Some trains were delayed after 7 pm. Due
to heavy rain, train operators have preferred to drive cautiously to avoid
any untoward incident. Also, as passengers rush increased, more time was taken than usually for boarding and de-boarding of commuters. As a result, there was some delay in arrival and deperatures of trains,” said Hyderabad Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy.
