Hyderabad: The employees of Mission Bhagiratha in Tandur area of Vikarabad were arrested by the officials of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday for demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs 30,000.
According to the officials, Mission Bhagiratha Division Engineer K. Srinivas and Work Inspector Mahender had demanded the said amount from one Guruvaiah, who did the pipeline filling work.
“They demanded the amount as a favour to clear the pending bills of Mission Bhagiratha. Following a tip-off from Guruvaiah, we laid a trap and nabbed the two men. They were caught red-handed while accepting the amount and their hands were verified via testing water solution” said the officials.
Cases were booked against them and further investigations are on.
