Hyderabad: Mob suspects youth for black magic, kills

Hyderabad: Mob killed a 24-year-old youth suspecting him to be involved in black magic.

This incident occurred in the vicinity of Hyderabad at Palli Village on Wednesday but it came to limelight yesterday. The deceased is identified as B. Anjaneyulu.

According to the details, a 45-year-old woman by name, G. Lakshmi died after a prolonged illness. The family members of the woman suspected that she died under the spell of black magic performed by Anjaneyulu.

After performing the funeral rites of the woman, her relatives decided to take revenge with him.

When he was passing through the road, the relatives of Lakshmi caught hold of him and assaulted severely. Ultimately, he died.

They dumped his body into the pyre of Lakshmi and destroyed the evidence.

When police got the news, it reached the spot and started investigation.

Police collected the remnants of the bones of the deceased and sent them to a forensic laboratory for examination. Police arrested four persons who were allegedly involved in this murder and seized axes and heavy stones which were used in killing him. The accused are identified as G. Balaram (52), agriculturist, G. Kishtaiah (55), B. Sri Ramulu (35), lorry driver, G. Narasimha and Anjaneyulu (26), Auto Rickshaw driver.
