Hyderabad: On Monday night, a newly-wed woman and her mother-in-law were found murdered at their residence.
According to the reports, the victims are identified as Tayyaba Begum (25) and Sabiha Begum (55). They were residing in an apartment in Roshan Colony, Vattepally, under Mailardevpally police limits.
Syed Moin Khan, son of Sabiha Begum noticed his mother and wife lying dead in a pool of blood when he returned home around 11:45 pm at night. Syed Moin and Tayyaba got married on March 8 this year.
According to Mailardevpally inspector A. Sathaiah Goud, on reaching home, Moin noticed that the main door was open. Inside, he found his mother lying dead in a pool of blood with severe injuries on her head. When he looked inside the bedroom, he found that his wife, too, had been killed.
Police said that the two women might have been killed early on Monday evening. Both the women were found with head injuries. Their bodies were sent to Osmania General Hospital for an autopsy.
Police also deployed Clues team and dog squad and are going through CCTV footage to trace the assailants. Cases under IPC sections 302 (Punishment for murder) and 380 (Theft in a home) were registered.
