Hyderabad: A newly-wed bride committed suicide due to harassment by husband and in-laws. This incident took place in the area which falls under the jurisdiction of Keesara Police Station.
According to the report published in The Hans India, the deceased is identified as Sravani (20), daughter of Narsimha and Anjamma. Five months ago, she got married to Ramanjaneyulu, a resident of RL Nagar.
As per the details, her husband and in-laws were demanding additional dowry.
Ramanjaneyulu did not stop harassing his wife even after Sravani’s family accepted the demand for additional dowry.
Vexed with the harassment, the woman committed suicide on Thursday. She ended her life by hanging herself from the ceiling in the bathroom.
Although she was rushed to the hospital, doctors declared her brought dead.
The parents of the woman lodged a complaint with the police. They alleged that Sravani took this extreme step due to harassment.
