Hyderabad: The incidents of adulteration in Petrol are on the increase in the city. At Chaitanyapuri, a large number of commuters protested against the malpractices of the petrol bunk owners and showed adulterated petrol bottles wherein the containers had more than 50% of petrol mixed with water.
They also complained that adulterated petrol spoils the functioning of vehicles. The meters of the petrol bunk have also been tampered. For a value of Rs. 100, the commuters get petrol worth Rs. 50-60. They demanded the authorities to inspect the petrol bunks and close them down if violations are noticed.
