Hyderabad: Scholars paid homage to General Qassem Soleimani

Hyderabad:  Shia and Sunni scholars paid homage to General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mehdi Mahandas who were assassinated by the US Military and condemned the US for its brutality.

Consul General of Iran in Hyderabad Mr. Haqbin Ghomi, Maulana Qubool Pasha Shuttari Member Muslim Personal Law Board and Maulana Asrar Hussain Razvi, Maulana Taqi Raza Abedi expressed their grief and sorrow over the loss of two brilliant commanders. A condolence and protest meeting was organized by Tanzeem e Jaffery.

The scholars further said that the Gen Soleimani was India’s friend and ally in the region. Gen Soleimani had been a staunch supporter and even planned a rescue operation for Kulbhushan Jadhav. He had helped India not only build ties with Northern Alliance, but also successfully prevented several sabotage ops at Chabahar and Afghanistan against India’s interests.

He had gone out of the way to influence Houthis in Yemen to call a cease-fire until Gen VK rescued Indian nationals. It is also widely acknowledged that he was responsible for freeing 40 Indian nurses who were stuck in Iraq under ISIS’s capture.

The massive crowds that had gathered to bid adieu to shaheed Qasem Soleimani is a testimony itself. There was grief across the region and especially among the minorities for whom he was a messiah. He was the hope of the oppressed and a nightmare for the oppressors. ISIS celebrated assassination of Gen Soleimani by US as “Divine Intervention and said it will help them rise again,” said the scholars.
