Hyderabad: Stray dogs pounce on 8-year-old boy

Hyderabad: The menace of stray dogs has been on the increase in the city. In one such incident, stray dogs attacked an eight-year-old boy causing him serious injuries. Had not the local residents and parents of the boy come to his rescue, the boy would have died.

It is reported that in Maula Ali area, a group of 12-15 stray dogs pounced on the boy. The cries of the boy attracted the attention of the local resident who rushed him to the hospital immediately.

It may be mentioned that despite several representations and complaints, GHMC did not bother to take any serious step to save the citizens from the attacks of stray dogs. Meanwhile, an organization working in the field of welfare of children, “Bala Hakkula Sangam” blamed the officials of GHMC for this incident.
