Hyderabad: Truck carrying 1020 Kgs Ganja intercepted at Rajendranagar

Hyderabad: Around 1020 kgs of Ganja has been seized from truck intercepted by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths in City Limits at Rajendranagar yesterday.

The truck was reportedly coming from Visakhapatnam and was intercepted at Rajendranagar in which Ganja was concealed under the coal powder, TOI reports.

The NCB’s Hyderabad Zonal Unit sleuths intercepted the truck (AP 25 U 5562) near Bilal Idgah X roads at Rajendranagar on Thursday and seized 1020 kilo ganja after receiving an input.

According to sources, the contraband was concealed below 18 Metric Tonnes of coal powder in the truck.

It was after the NCB team removed the coal powder using an earth mover they recovered ganja.

The 39-year-old truck driver from Bidar revealed that Ganja was sourced from Vishakapatnam and was ordered to drop the delivery at Telangana’s Zaheerabad region.
