I don’t want to die, so I went to Parliament to protest”: Anu Dubey

In order to highlight the murder case of a lady veterinary doctor, a girl student of Delhi reached Parliament and staged ‘Dharna’ alone.

Later, it came to be known that the lady police constable forced the girl to record her statement.

It was reported that three women police officers mounted on the protesting girl and misbehaved with her. Police officials forced her to reply to the questions put to her by policemen. She said that she would respond to all such question outside the police station.

The women police officers assaulted her physically. She had blood stains on her hands.

Four hours after her arrest Swati Jai Hind, the Chairperson of National Commission of Women went to the police station and got the girl released.

It was reported that Delhi police had asked her not to stage Dharna outside parliament. She was advised to register her protest at Jantar Mantar but when she did not pay heed to the advice of the police, she was arrested and taken to police station.

According to the report of the police she was not misbehaved. After staging Dharna in front of the Parliament, the press reporter asked her about her programe. She replied that she had come to Parliament to put a question to the Government as to why at every 20 minutes, a girl is raped in the country.

She also said that she doesn’t want to die and hence she has come to ask this question to the Govt.
