“I don’t want to live secret life”, says Salman Rushdie

Paris: Salman Rushdie in an interview given to media persons in Paris told that after the fatwa of Ayatollah Khomeini, his life was changed. He led his life under the secret names. He wants to do away with his secret life.

He also said that things have changed these days. The fame he had got was of negative nature. These days, people are worried about wars and terrorism and the era of controversial novels has come to an end.

Rushdie gave this interview in the office of AFP in Paris.

He told that when the fatwa issued, he was 41 years old. Now, situation has changed.
