IAF pilot handed over to India at Wagah: Here’s what Sania Mirza, SRK tweet

Attari/Hyderabad: IAF pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was on Friday evening handed over to Indian High Commission officials at Pakistan’s Wagah border, Indian officials said here.

Expressing joy, Indian tennis star, Ms. Sania Mirza tweeted, “Welcome back Wing Commander Abhinandan .. you are our HERO in the truest sense.. The country salutes you and the bravery and dignity you have shown #Respect #WelcomeBackAbinandan Jai Hind”.

Meanwhile, Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan also tweeted, “There is no better feeling than Coming back Home, for home is the place of love, hope & dreams. Ur bravery makes us stronger. Eternally grateful. #WelcomeBackAbhinandan”.

It may be mentioned that on Tuesday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mr. Imran Khan had announced that the captured IAF pilot will be freed on Friday.

On Friday, the Islamabad High Court dismissed a petition filed against the release of IAF pilot.
