IMF wonderstruck on Indian economy decline

Washington, D.C.: Geeta Gopinath, Chief Economist of International Monetary Fund (IMF) told that the decline in the growth rate of Indian economy has left many economists wonderstruck.

She told that the steep decline in investments and reduction in inventory have played role in the decline of Indian economy.

It may be mentioned that the GDP of India for the second quarter has come down to 4.5% which is the least rate during the preceding six months.
